FILMMAKER/ACTOR VIN DIESEL PRESENTS THE WORLD PREMIERE OF LOS BANDOLEROS, THE SHORT FILM PREQUEL TO FAST AND FURIOUS AT THE 10TH NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL LATINO FILM FESTIVAL (NYILFF)

Vin Diesel Will Receive The NYILFF Impact Award

WHAT:  The New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) celebrates its 10th Anniversary as the #1
Latino film festival in the country, with the World Premiere of LOS BANDOLEROS, the short film prequel to FAST AND FURIOUS, written, directed and starring Vin Diesel.  Diesel, who founded One Race Global Film Foundation to develop young filmmakers in underserved communities, will be the recipient of the NYILFF Impact Award, which honors a special individual, who has made significant contributions to the education, promotion and advancement of Latino talent in the film and media industries.

LOS BANDOLEROS is the short film prequel to the blockbuster smash FAST AND FURIOUS, and takes us to where it all begins: the Dominican Republic. Here, Dom Toretto (Diesel), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Santos (Don Omar) and Leo (Tego Calderon) plan their next big heist. But, sometimes, things dont turn out according to plan.

This leads us to FAST AND FURIOUS. When tragedy brings fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto back to Los Angeles, his long dormant feud with FBI agent Brian OConner (Walker) threatens to reignite -- until they discover a common enemy. Dom and Brian declare a precarious truce, as they try to outmaneuver their adversary and exact revenge. From convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, the two men push the limits of what is possible behind the wheel as they live for speed, drive for the rush and break all the rules!
