I hope with the
following tips I suggest and propose I can ease your aging process and help you
age graciously with a smile on your face!
What we need to do to prevent a fast aging process is to
take control of our life and start living and enjoying each day. Learn how to
find new satisfaction and meaning to improve your daily life.
Start shifting gears and find new interests and hobbies.
Adjust your attitude and believe in yourself.
Embrace the knowledge that you don’t have to stop your
favorite activities just because you are not as young and vibrant anymore. You
still can jog, workout and find new sport interests. That can range from Tango
dancing lessons to scuba diving ventures.
Develop new interests such as learning a new language,
perhaps consider volunteering for a homeless shelter, help tutoring children or
even consider starting a little business. Knowing what you know now and what
you could share on wisdom, why sit at home if you can improve your financial
situation and keep on your toes with your new adventure? It is never too late
to start something new – Never!
Educate yourself about health issues and get a
physical checkup and keep your body in good condition
by taking care of your health. Aging well means to know your body and what you
can do to prevent negative health issues.
Eating healthy and
working out are
major factors you should take very seriously. Exercise and good food is fuel
for your body and helps prevent wrinkles, and age spots. With a balanced diet
and fitness routine you can stay energized, and help prevent memory loss.
Water is one incredibly powerful medicine!
We need water to live, to keep good skin. We need it to maintain a good body.
Water can be part of your exercise and water can be your treatment for bad
joints, difficulties of moving around and easing your pain. Swimming, water
exercise and just sitting by the ocean or sea and inhaling the fresh breeze of
water smell can help you calm down and relax!
Meditation and learning how to breathe is
another aspect of good aging! Take your time to relax, inhale and breath out deeply. It’s a wonderful tool to start taking
control over your body.
Travel – that word is very powerful and it
will open up a whole new world for you! Already the excitement of planning a
trip into a part of the world you have never been or even thought about is
stimulating and enhances your energy. So much to see and to explore – go for
it! You never know what you can see, learn, or even do what you never considered
doing. Try new foods, try new cultures and traditions – what do you have to
lose? Nothing!
Learn to use the
computer to your
advantage. Find new places to go and to see meet new people and stay in contact
with your friends and family. Check out new websites what can help you make new
friends, enjoy travel savings, take educational
classes or just plain to stay up-to-date with the fast growing technology. You
are never too old to learn new things.
Don’t forget to take a good look at your retirement
money and to analyze your financial situation. Protect your savings, learn how
to save more money and get to know the money market. Make it a priority to ask
for help if you don’t understand the whole retirement planning system to learn
what you have and still need or how to increase your money. A good financial
planner can be your best friend and ease your financial worries, which again
can age you dramatically.
Last but not least,
LOVE! Enjoy your
love life to the fullest. You know what you like and want and need. Use that
knowledge to develop a good sex life.
If you are
not in a marriage or relationship, don’t be afraid to go out and meet new
people. You are not the only one who is alone. Find a new circle of friends or
use the internet to find interesting clubs, organization or special events
targeting interests that are appropriate to your age and social level.
Don’t be
afraid of asking the person out that you’d like to get to know. Have fun trying
new ways and directions to find a new life style fitting your attitude and
personality.
Aging is a word – attitude and changes make you feel
energized, look younger and put that smile on your face while you embrace the
world!
