Dear Friend,

I wanted to inform you of some grant opportunities that recently became available through the Department of Labor. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 that was signed into law earlier this year designates $500 million for projects that prepare workers for careers in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors.

The purpose of these grants, which fund both green job training and research projects, is to teach workers the skills required in these emerging career fields. These efforts will lead program participants to job placement and ultimately promote economic growth.

Below is a list of available grant opportunities that organizations can apply for to acquire funding towards green job training in the 9th Congressional District of California.
