The Angie Martinez Hair Show & Beauty Expo

Recently, New York City's Hot 97 Radio Personality Angie Martinez hosted the first annual Angie Martinez Hair Show & Beauty Expo. The Event took place in New York City on Saturday, November 24^th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The Event was sponsored by Covergirl and Queen Latifah (The Queen Collection). Over 3,000 people lined up on 34^th Street this past holiday weekend and waited to get in.

The all-day event featured beauty experts, hair stylists, makeup artists and industry insiders on hand giving advice to listeners on what works best on hair, complexion, and lifestyle. Women were treated to free makeovers provided by the Covergirl Queen Collection. Attendees also had their pictures taken at the event and could go to www.everywomanisaqueen.com to retrieve their pictures. Covergirl also provided product in the gift bags that attendees received.

A number of celebrities showed up to walk the purple carpet and support Angie Martinez, including recording artists Missy Elliott, Pepa, Nina Sky, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Cassidy, BET's Toccara and Julissa, among others. Attendees were treated to performances by Fabolous, Trey Songz, and Collie Buddz and a fashion show featuring models wearing the Akademiks clothing line.
