The Darkness of Your Light

When you commit to your calling,
Letting the grace of heaven pour in,
You also stand to endure a falling,
Feeling through others a world of sin.

But the greatest danger of all is at rest,
To give hope to desperate expectations,
Hiding your uniqueness and very best,
Pulling into shadow your own creations.

Because the secret to true openness,
Is to listen to the wind’s quiet pleading,
It’s like a bell ringing in the darkness,
The good come, but also the needing.

So, stand in your deepest knowing,
Smiling glorious in both day and night,
This life is about your star ever growing,
Transcending the darkness of your light.
