Moral Principals
By Terrell Woodfork

So the Notre Dame thing has come and gone, the conservative Catholic hierarchy
had their fifteen minutes of venting over President Obama. Just because the
President believes that the church should butt out and stop interfering with a
woman's choice in her decision making when it comes to her body. What
astonished me the most out of this media circus was the very outspoken
criticism of President Obama "it's a scandal" or "institutions
should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral
principles".
Moral principles?
Moral principles? First of all, let's try to determine a
percentage of the protesters who waited until marriage for sex.
Moral Principles?
What about relocating our
priests after they've molested somebody's child?
How about this Catholic hierarchy?
A front page add read as follows:
”Dear family and friends of
sexual molested children, past, present and future!
We (hierarchy and
conservative Catholics) deeply apologize for the inappropriate actions of a
messenger of God. These priests will be prosecuted to the full degree of the
law and once their sentence is served, they will have to register as a sex
offender so relocation is out of the question. Now that's "Moral Principles".”
Now on to Sotomayor. Thanks to Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich and some of the
Senate's top Republicans you've just lost any chance of possibly rekindling the
romance with the "Hispanic vote" by calling Sotomayor a
"racist".
Republicans might as will sit
it out in the next election.
