Holiday Season: Be careful and thankful

The holiday season is here and so are the parties, and all the wonderful and good food. Without hesitation, I believe you should enjoy yourself and have fun. But please be considerate and don't overdo it, because it will be harder for you to get back to your normal self.

Many people get depressed and feeling lonely when the Holiday season is arriving, and they are using and making excuses to eat and drink more and the activity level is on level 2 instead of normal at level 5.

You sit all evening with some good friends and have that favorite cocktail or 2...and cry a little and feel sorry for yourself because your girlfriend or boyfriend just broke up with you, or your kids have not called you. It all contributes to even more depression and more food and more drinking. The circle begins and there is no end in sight.

The next horrible mistake --- you drink and drive. You take your car to the party and afterwards you are driving back home.

NOT a good choice!

A combination of alcohol and depression is the worst for your behavior. You are now not only driving under the influence. If you make bad judgments you will not just put yourself at risk, you’ve just included your friends and love ones.

Please stay overnight and do NOT drink and, instead of feeling sorry for yourself, make a donation to your favorite organization and appreciate what you do have and don’t be upset for what you don't have. There are many people in this world who have much less than you and would be very happy to have just half of what you have.

Look at your self as your best friend and be good to that person.

Happy Holidays!
