NEW YORK IN BERLIN

 

The House of the World Cultures in Berlin is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an interdisciplinary project on the transatlantic connection Germany – USA, with the main focus on New York.  The program consists of Art Exhibitions, Film Programs, Music, Conferences, Readings and Performances. 

Works by Marcel Duchamp, Hans Haacke and Gordon Matta-Clark, are featured in the art project.  The concert series are dedicated to Broadway, Greenwich Village and the El Barrio sound. The event is running until 04-NOV-07.

 

AMERICAN POP ART IN HAMBURG

An American Pop Posters exhibition is running in the MUSEUM FÜR KUNST UND GEWERBE HAMBURG until 28-OCT-07.   The exhibition is featuring works by pioneers like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns, Richard Lindner and David Hockney.
