Pavarotti dies at the
age of 71
Luciano Pavarotti the legendary opera singer lost
his battle with pancreatic cancer and died September 6th at the age
of 71 in his home in Modena, Italy.
The
huge and always smiling Pavarotti was one of the world’s best tenor! He had been battling since the beginning of 2006 with
pancreatic cancer and was treated last year in July in New York City. After his
surgery he retreated to his villa in Modena.
Pavarotti
was known for his charity work and raised millions of dollars for the Red
Cross, War Child and victims of war among others.
He
is survived by his four daughters, three with his first wife and one with his
second wife Nicoletta and one granddaughter.
