Adriana, a free lance journalist with a long publishing and translating experience, is the Executive Editor of the on line entertainment magazine No Strings Attached E-News, where she has created and edits the section Europe Reloaded. She has a byline in Orizont, the magazine of the Romanian Writers’ Association, and teaches Creative Writing at the Adult Education Centre of Heidelberg.

 

She has been translating into Romanian from various English and American contemporary authors, as well as books on health and lifestyle.  Recently she has published a biographical study called The Story of Our Days, based on the narrated life stories of 12 representative Romanian artists living in exile.  The book, the result of tow years of travel and research, has been acclaimed as “Personality interviews, made with aplomb but also with love; a consistent study matter for those who wish to specialize in performance journalism” and will soon be translated into German.

 

Born in the Romanian city of Timisoara, she lives in Heidelberg, Germany, where, during the nineties, she has been involved with various exciting projects.  Giving English classes to the employees of the City Hall for three years while learning German from them along the way, and touring with American student groups through Europe - to places she had never seen before but had to pretend at first she was an expert on - are some of them.

 

In the years of her German experience she has been working as a technical editor for a publishing house specialized in psychotherapy, as an editor for a software company magazine, and has managed more than fifty art exhibitions with international artists, as well as art and entertainment projects that called for her organizing talent, conceptual thinking and creativity. 

 

Adriana is supporting various sport groups, charities and artistic activities, and believes in the power of making things happen through creative energy & passion.
