Cas Todd

Cas is a freelance writer and editor living in Kyoto, Japan, although she’s originally from Newcastle in the UK, which makes her a football and beer expert by birth! Her career started in Italy, where she taught English for 3 years and met so many people in the wine industry that she felt obliged to train as a winemaker, which led her to work in the US as well as in Tuscany and Piemonte in Italy. All those early mornings finally took their toll and Cas ended up in Japan, teaching English again for a few years. Missing the vineyard greenery, she headed for Australia and worked in the Barossa Valley and Victoria, and became a big Australian football fan! But the culture and tradition of Kyoto were calling and she headed back to Japan, becoming Editor of Sumo Fan Magazine (www.sumofanmag.com), which is a volunteer online magazine devoted to the wonderful world of sumo.
