TODD PARKER

BIOGRAPHY

Todd Parker graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1997 with a degree in English Writing.  Upon graduation, he went to work for FILMS FOR THE HUMANITIES AND SCIENCES, a non-profit subsidiary of PRIMEDIA, CORP., specializing in the distribution of films and CD ROMs to accompany scholastic curriculum.  Todd initially started with FILMS as a Customer Service Representative, but began to take a great interest in the world of sales.

Todd left FILMS in 1999 to pursue a sales career.  He worked for Car-Tel Communications, a master agent of Cingular Wireless, as a B2B Account Executive, where he personally prospected and secured several major accounts, including large transportation companies and regional hospitals.

Todd left Cingular in 2004.  He worked from a home-based office for STAM MULTIMEDIA, as a Senior Account Manager.  While working with STAM, one of Todd’s many accomplishments included prospecting for and securing a multimedia campaign for Ford Motor Company’s Jaguar line.  Todd’s greatest accomplishment came when he was asked to give as presentation to Pixar Studios at the Siggraph Expo in Los Angeles.

Although Todd’s sales career went on to span several more years, his interest in the film industry started to grow, as he had an actor’s background with several regional and community theatre productions to his credit.

On a whim one day, while laid up at home and recovering from back surgery, Todd set out to write a romantic comedy feature screenplay.  He used his knack for networking and selling to finally get his project under option from a producer in Montreal, Quebec.

This inspired Todd to keep moving and he did.

He wrote two short detective films, one about a murder that takes place in an elevator and a second about a murder in a carpenter’s workshop.

Todd also began writing a second feature length screenplay about the black slave’s journey along the Underground Railroad in the mid 1800’s.

As fate would have it, Todd’s two short films were produced and have since spawned a 13-episode television series pilot, for which he is Executive Producer, Writer, and Director.

Todd has also branched out to writing and directing documentaries as well.  He is currently working on a documentary about the industry of barbers.

Todd latest project, a vampire film he wrote, entitled “ANATHEMA”, is scheduled to begin production in October with him at the helm once again as director.
