Felicia Dechter is an award-winning columnist and journalist for Skyline newspaper, a weekly in Chicago, where she lives on the city’s North Side with her husband, three children, and a Boston Terrier, Mick.
Felicia has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago, where she graduated from with double honors in 1998. While at Columbia, Felicia won several awards, including one for photography, which she also enjoys dabbling in.
Felicia is a friend to many charities; a caregiver to her mom, Janet; as well as a Chicago Cubs Fan, and reading lover, and an aficionado of history, music, art and theater. In her spare time, (of which she has very little) Felicia can be found getting her ya-yas out listening to Rolling Stones music, as she is an avid fan who lives by the band’s lyrics from the song, “Ruby Tuesday,” which state, “Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind.”
